Ingredients:
- 1 lb. lean ground beef
- 1 lb. smoked sausage
- 2 14-oz. cans of diced tomatoes
- 1 envelope of onion soup mix
- 2 tablespoons Worcestershire sauce
- 1 cup chopped celery
- chopped celery leaves
- 1 cup sliced carrots
- Water
- Box of Elbow macaroni
Directions:
- Slice smoked sausage. Brown sausage and ground beef. Drain.
- Combine meats, tomatoes, onion soup mix, Worcestershire sauce, celery, celery leaves, and carrots in crock pot. Add water to generously cover the mixture.
- Cook on low heat for at least 5 hours.
- Prepare macaroni according to package directions. Drain and rinse with cold water to stop cooking. Drizzle with a bit of olive oil to prevent pasta from sticking together.
- To serve, spoon the desired amount of macaroni into a bowl; top with the desired amount of soup. Serving this way prevents the macaroni from absorbing all the liquid of the soup.
Garnish with shredded Parmesan cheese and/or chopped parsley, if desired.
