Ingredients:

  • White boxed cake mix
  • Strawberries
  • Grand Marnier
  • White buttercream frosting
  • Melted chocolate for drizzle (if desired)

Directions:

  • Prepare 2 9″ cake layers according to cake mix directions.  
  • As the layers bake, slice strawberries and pour a small amount of Grand Marnier over.  
  • Completely cool the layers.  
  • Put the bottom layer on a paper doily on a cake stand. 
  • Top with strawberries and then the 2nd layer.  
  • Frost with buttercream frosting.  If desired, melt chocolate and drizzle on top for decorative purposes.  

Tip: melt semi-sweet chocolate pieces in a zipper sandwich bag in the microwave.  Cut the corner from the bag and use it to decorate the cake.
