Ingredients:
- 6 cups chopped apples (Granny Smith)
- 1/2 cup sugar
- Cinnamon to taste
- 1 cup flour
- 2/3 stick butter
- 1 cup sugar
- 1 tsp. baking powder
- 1/2 tsp. salt
- 1 egg
Directions:
- Mix the first 3 ingredients together and put them into a deep 9″ or 10″ pie or casserole dish.
- Mix the rest of the ingredients (excluding butter) until crumbly. Sprinkle over apples in the pan.
- Chop 2/3 stick of butter and drop around the top.
- Bake at 350 degrees F. until apples are tender and topping is browned—about 40 minutes.
