Ingredients:
- 6 medium to large tomatoes
- 6 green onions
- 2 serrano peppers
- 1 Hungarian yellow wax pepper
- 1 habanero pepper (1 red habanero or 2 orange)
- 1/4 cup fresh cilantro (or more if desired)
- 1 t. ground pepper
- 1 t. garlic salt
- 10 chile tepins (whole) (if you can’t find these, try pequin peppers)
- 1 (15 oz) Hunts Tomato Sauce
Directions:
- Dice tomatoes (or send them through a food processor). Strain excess liquid and place in a bowl.
- Chop the green onions and add to the tomatoes.
- Finely mince the Serrano, Hungarian, habanero, and tepin peppers. Add to bowl and mix.
- Add tomato sauce, ground pepper, and garlic salt and mix.
- Add lots of chopped cilantro.
This is best if you make it the night before so that the flavors meld.
