Ingredients:
- 1 cup crushed ice
- 1/2 cup plus 2 tablespoons (5 ounces) gin (ideally Hendrick’s)
- 1 tablespoon (1/2 ounce) dry vermouth
- 2 tablespoons green olive juice (from the jar of olives)
- 1 tablespoon caper brine (from jar of capers)
- a crack of fresh black pepper
- 6 large green olives (Castelvetrano are so good!)
Directions:
- Place crushed ice in a cocktail shaker.
- Add gin, vermouth, olive juice, and caper brine.
- Shake until the liquid is cold and the sides of the shaker have condensation, about 30 seconds.
- Strain mixture into 2 martini glasses. Add 2-3 olives to each glass and crack pepper on top (if desired)
Makes 2 martinis.
