Ingredients:

  • 6 medium to large tomatoes
  • 6 green onions
  • 2 serrano peppers
  • 1 Hungarian yellow wax pepper
  • 1 habanero pepper (1 red habanero or 2 orange)
  • 1/4 cup fresh cilantro (or more if desired)
  • 1 t. ground pepper
  • 1 t. garlic salt
  • 10 chile tepins (whole) (if you can’t find these, try pequin peppers)
  • 1 (15 oz) Hunts Tomato Sauce 

Directions:

  1. Dice tomatoes (or send them through a food processor).  Strain excess liquid and place in a bowl. 
  2. Chop the green onions and add to the tomatoes. 
  3. Finely mince the Serrano, Hungarian, habanero, and tepin peppers. Add to bowl and mix. 
  4. Add tomato sauce, ground pepper, and garlic salt and mix. 
  5. Add lots of chopped cilantro.

This is best if you make it the night before so that the flavors meld.
